Individual Psychotherapy is personally tailored to each client. I employ a solution-focused approach for short-term issues and work with an in-depth model for longer-term problems. In Couples Therapy my goal is to establish and strengthen positive connections of closeness and depth, fostering intimacy and trust. I weave in the teaching of needed communication skills; work with the influence of family patterns while focusing on present day issues. Problems I can help you solve.
 
Domestic Violence, Abuse and Anger Therapy is offered to treat problems of physical, verbal and emotional abuse and to create healthy relationships based on trust, cooperation, and mutual support. My clients are people whose lives have been affected by giving or receiving abuse, including abused spouses, batterers, survivors of child abuse and victims of violent crimes. I work in conjunction with other therapists who specialize in domestic violence and anger management to provide a systemic team approach to problems of abuse. Therapy for Habit Change uses a combination of techniques including hypnotherapy, EMDR and EFT to change unwanted, problematic habits such as: transforming compulsive eating to mindful eating, addressing test or performance anxiety, increasing sports abilities and developing mindfulness based stress reduction skills. Consultation and Trainings are offered for clinical groups, professional associations and universities on domestic violence, intimacy and connection, interpersonal communications skills, Ericksonian hypnotherapy and clinical skills for therapists.
